Flashback 2016 – Remembering Legends

As we are moving towards 2017, I think it is the best time to see back how this year went and what big things happened in this year. First of all, I will remember legends of automotive history. Let’s start with our beloved “JEEP”

I remember one of my fauji  uncle had JEEP, our Indian desi jeep “MAHINDRA”. Still Punjabis are crazy about desi jeeps that’s why they pay hefty amount for modified jeeps. I mean, JEEP has been launched in India this year (finally) but our love for JEEP is there since long.

2016 will be remembered as 75^th anniversary of beloved, go anywhere, once military vehicle “JEEP”. It all started from world war 2, in late 1930s American military needed a light, muscular, go anywhere (deserts,forests) vehicle to send their troops in war and help wounded soldiers. That’s how “JEEP” took birth. It has been long journey for JEEP from 1941 to 2016, 4 cylinders engine to 8 cylinders, 60 horsepower to 475 horsepower, 3 speed manual transmission to 8 speed automatic transmission.

JEEP did everything in WW2, from taking troops one place to another , carrying load as trains, helping wounded soldiers as ambulance vehicle, that's why American love their warrior.
